Where are the DYF BEAUTY brushes manufactured?
Our brushes are produced in a fully-owned and privately operated facility in Tianjin, China run by a parent company based in the United States.
How are your brushes responsibly manufactured in China?
DYF BEAUTY is committed to safer and cleaner manufacturing processes by working with a fully-owned facility with complete control, from research & development to brush production, with 100% closed-loop manufacturing, which means full control over our supply chain and process – from concept to your hand. This translates to you knowing exactly where and how your brushes were made. We stand behind our promise that DYF BEAUTY brushes and tools are made using the highest quality materials, hand-crafted by skilled artisans, and manufactured using clean and socially responsible methods.
How is your company socially and environmentally responsible?
DYF BEAUTY is committed to introducing beauty innovations that are about educating you, the consumer, not only about better application processes, but also about how and who made your brushes. And most importantly, care if they were made in an ethical and transparent way when it comes to social and environmental compliance. Our manufacturing plant has achieved a 20% reduction landfill waste and carbon footprint, 80% improved electrical efficiency with LED lighting, and recycles at least 50% of its used water which is treated and released with a PH6 level.
Is DYF BEAUTY cruelty-free?
Yes, all brush fibers are PETA-certified and cruelty-free. The brush head, ferrule and handle are manufactured and developed using methods that do not involve any experimentation or testing on animals.
What are the brush fibers made from?
Our brush bristles are 100% synthetic, man-made fibers and are cruelty-free. Each brush uses a blend of diameters, textures, and tip lengths that create the ideal application for optimal product pick-up and blending, and several of these fibers and shapes are patented and/or trademarked so they cannot be duplicated.
Do DYF BEAUTY brushes shed?
We are proud to say there is absolutely no excess shedding with our brushes. These brushes are made of high quality synthetic material and hand-crafted using traditional brush making techniques by extremely skilled artisans. Each bristle is secured with the utmost precision and care.
How do I care for my brushes?
WEEKLY/MONTHLY BRUSH CLEANING
- Use a trusted brush cleaner or an alcohol-free gentle dish soap.
- Add the brush cleaner directly to the brush head.
- Without adding any water, work the brush cleaner into the brush fibers.
- For faster deep cleaning, use a silicone brush cleaning pad.
- Rinse thoroughly with water.
- Squeeze excess water from fibers and gently reshape brush head.
- Lay flat to dry.
- Do not reuse until brush is completely dry.
- Do not fully submerge the brush in water.
- Avoid alcohol-based cleaners for greater longevity of brushes, unless you are using on clients and need to use alcohol for disinfecting.
Do the brush fibers stain?
Use of products that are highly pigmented (such a charcoal/clay/mud facial masks), and/or are acid/oil-based formulas may cause staining of brush bristles, handle, and ferrule. If you are using one of these products, we highly recommend cleaning your brushes after each use per our above cleaning instructions.
Do the brushes irritate sensitive skin?
Our brush fibers are fully synthetic and should not irritate your skin the way real fur often does.
What is the lifespan of a DYF BEAUTY brush?
DYF BEAUTY brushes are crafted using the highest quality materials and methods. Depending on usage and your brush care routine, your DYF BEAUTY brushes can last several years.
